Bring The Bargainers Out!

Are you an introvert person?
Doesn't like to speak much?

Well, you can change that by travelling in Asia and sharpen your bargaining skills.
Asian sellers are aggressive, hungry for customers buying their things therefore they would do anything to make sure the customers agreed to buy.
http://www.internshipschina.com/community/chinainsights2/55-china-insights/836-beautiful-girl-i-ll-give-you-the-best-price-your-guide-to-bargaining-in-china#.VuF5sH196W8

However, the most frequent tactic is to put the highest price for selling items and wait for the customers to bargain.
Hence, my best tips of handling this type of sellers  in China and South East Asia countries based on my experience:

  1.  To bargain at least half of the price stated by the seller
  2. If the seller refused to lower down the price, try to walk away from the shop
  3. When the seller calls you back, state the price that you want
  4. Never argue with the seller, if he can't give you the price
  5. Bargain using positive attitude
Always remember that every country has its own culture, therefore make some research first before bargaining as the tips might cannot be applied in other countries aside from China

In Thailand, glass jar containing poisonous reptiles are sold widely in the market as souvenir, attracting tourists to buy.

While Thailand is an exotic country, tourists in Indonesia are definitely stunned by the exquisite beauty of  wooden sculpts made by the experts. This art has been mastered from the ancestors decades ago since the oldest civilization there.

Other than that, you can buy souvenir like keychains in a bulk for  affordable prices. Perhaps if you want to give something different, you can opt to buy it in the gallery which offers exclusive souvenir rather than buying it in souvenir shops.

What’s Hot in Asia? Cosmetics!

The common perception of Asian people (including the men) are flawless, porcelain-like skin and of course, white skin.
Just look at at Min Ho's skin compared to me!
The influence comes directly from movie stars in East Asia countries along with Thailand, hence making those countries as the melting pot of cosmetics center. People all over the world visit the countries to discover the magic or secret behind Asian beauty.

Therefore, this entry will guide you on all the details you should have known before purchasing cosmetics or skincare products in Asia.
Myeondong at night
For western women, it is advisable to buy miniature set first rather than buying full size products, but cannot use it because of health issue. Normally, the products suits for Asian skin as it is developed specifically for them but there is no harm to try.
I usually buy cosmetics and skin care products in Korea because of the advanced technology that the country has developed in that particular field, and of course the effectiveness has been proven from time to time.
If you are a beauty products fan, make sure that Myeongdong is in your itinerary whenever you visit Korea. This is the shopping haven for us, imagine walking on a street full of beauty shops that offers great deal of discount. Honestly I spend about hundred Ringgit for a complete set of skincare products along with additional items. Did I regret on buying those items? Well not at all, the product work miraculously on my face skin and I hope I stay there for a very long time.

The best part? There is tax refund when you buy so many things in Korea, and usually imported items are more expensive than buying it in origin country.

What's Hot in Asia? Gems!

Having a wedding in a couple of weeks, but still haven't find the perfect wedding ring?
Not enough budget to buy a diamond ring?
Well, fear not because Asia is the best place to buy cheap gems jewellery.

Do not doubts the possibility of fake items sold here because most of the factories are recognized by their government, but some might lie about the authenticity of the gems. Therefore, you must be very careful from buying fake items. Usually the tourists are brought by the travel agency to gems factory as a compulsory destination to stop by, especially in China. However it is absolutely your choice to buy the items sold or not, do not make them force you and remember to always bargain!

Example of gems that you can buy, even in the night market!

If you are into jade, go to China and buy lots of jade for your health!
In Siem Reap there are many cheap original gems

Today we will focus on a type of clothing used to be worn by the Emperors or the ruler of Asia countries; Silk

So where can I buy silk?

Or maybe some cheaper options?
Go buy in Vietnam, the largest retailer in South East Asia countries.
Perhaps Thailand? The pretty raw silk which is unique for having two tones of color in one piece.
In India? One of the oldest silk retailer in history
Opt for Cambodia to see the making of silk itself, along with buying premium quality of silk

#FOODGASM #FOODHUNTER #AUNIEATS #FOODHUNTING #ALLABOUTFOOD

Doesn't the title seems familiar with all of you?
Admit it, the first thing that you do when the food comes out is taking picture of it and directly uploading it to social media

Well the trend now is to capture the most delicious-looking food along with those hashtag right? Therefore you already made research on which and which place to dine, but what happens if you limitation of budget?
Fret not, in this entry i will share on how to post Insta-worthy food picture without taking too much cost and getting photos from Google.
My answer is.......
Travelling with travel agency!

Yes, this is the right solution for those who want to save their money.

Travel agencies usually bring their customers to a buffet restaurants, but actually depends on the company itself. If you are lucky, they will bring you to high-end restaurants that serve premium quality of foods.

The cons?
Well of course you can't choose the food, and the food might not be so tasty as your expectation.

                                                Here is another options:

http://giphy.com/search/food-porn

  1. Bring your own food from home, any package food will do like Brahim's. They are easy to carry and as well as tasty. Those who can't live without Sambal Belacan or Tempoyak, maybe you can bring it from home.

2.   Buy staples food like rice or bread from convenience store in the country. Some countries like Korea and Japan sell variety of high-quality foods in their convenience store.

3. By doing the step above, you can save up much to buy coffee or other delicious food there!

Do make some research in places to eat especially when you are concern about the status of the food.
Last word, this is the most enjoyable part in holiday! Experiencing some new traditional good foods that eventually will turn out to be your favourite

Money $$$

You need money, in fact you need it most during your holiday other than passport and visa of course.
http://giphy.com/search/money
Do you know how much that you really need actually? Or where to keep it safe and sound?
http://giphy.com/search/money
Well these are my tips;
  1. Never bring excessive amount of money if you don't want to end up a broke. Follow your budget, make list of things you will spend money on it like transportations and accommodation.
  2. Bring one or two credit cards, just in case you will be broke before going back, credit cards are essential especially to shoppers.
  3. Always divide your money to several places to keep. Do not keep a large amount of money in the same place.
  4. Use unexpected things to hide out your money such as like your empty lip balm container. Or maybe, you can keep it in your socks. Be cautious of pickpockets, they exist in every country.
When do you need to go to money changer?

Well, it's up to you actually, but I prefer to convert my money 2 weeks before departing to the country. Currency rate changes every day, so you have to gamble your luck. It is essential that you convert your money in your country first before heading as the rate might be differ there.

Where can I convert my money?

Every authorised money changer around the country, but in my opinion airport is a not the place to change your money as the rate is quite high.

  • Take account of the season the country you are visiting, if it is located in South East Asia then you don't have to bring winter jacket
  • Remember that most Asia countries are hot and humid, bring clothes that can absorb all the sweats you're going to produce there. Eg: cotton materials.
  • Most Asian people wear really bright cheerful neon colours as daily outfits, hence use patterns and colours for your outfits.
